The Advertising Guidelines for ATAS Participants provides guidance and clarification as to the obligations that the ATAS Charter and the ATAS Code of Conduct places on ATAS Accredited entities in relation to advertising.
The Guidelines have been approved by the ATIA Board as an ‘Additional Condition’ pursuant to cl 2.5(m) of the ATAS Charter and as such compliance with this guide forms part of the eligibility criteria for ATAS Accreditation.
The Guidelines are not complete in detailing all of the obligations under the Australian Consumer Law but seeks to highlight common issues in the travel industry. Where applicable, it builds on and clarifies issues specifically related to the travel industry and the requirement set by ATIA for ATAS accreditation.
